Go Back Report # 944

Grand Lake, New Brunswick - November 1972, 10:30 P.M.

A man and two of his children were hunting deer. They saw a very big "star" moving very slowly. It moved across the lake a ways off, and the father began shining the flashlight toward it and "signaling": 1 flash, 2, 3 flashes, 4, etc., up to 10 flashes, then stop and resume. The object turned and began coming back up the lake toward them. And it descended as it came. The children became scared and begged their father to stop flashing the light and take them back to the cabin. At that point the object just clicked out, and was apparently no longer there. Five to ten minutes later the air over the lake was swarming with Air Force jets, which criss-crossed the area for a half hour.
