WW-??-196.
Location: Swift Current, Saskatchewan
Date: Winter, sometime in the 1960s
Type: In ultra-cold weather (c. minus 30 to minus 40° F.), a couple, driving home at 2:00 A.M., came across a dense but extremely localized area of fog. Stopping the car, they observed that all the snow in the area was melted and the ground was steaming. All snow outside the area was intact. The trace was not perfectly circular, but gave witnesses the feeling that something hot had been hovering overtop the area.
