Sighting Description: A short note on the Internet talks about a disk that was seen landing on the Isonzo River. Unfortunately other particulars or journalistic articles do not exist. The source is Jacques Vallée’s well-known book Passport to Magonia which points out a sighting by Filippo Corriddoni of a disc approximately 10 meters in diameter which was seen on October 19, 1954, near the Isonzo River. In this case, probably the same one, it does not refer to any contact between the object and the water. Unfortunately the sources in our possession are contradictory and they do not allow us to be sure that this sighting should be inserted in USOCAT, but at the same time, it should not be exclude. Gorizia (Italy). Filippo Corridoni (sic – Corriddoni) saw a half-empty balloon at ground level near the Isonzo River. Near it, a disk 10 m in diameter was resting on a strange frame. The upper part was white with a black, dome-like turret around which was a series of portholes, some illuminated with a very bright, bluish-white light which suddenly went out as the object took off spinning and rising vertically, pulling the balloon with it.
