Sighting Description: In the afternoon, several people on both sides of the Strait of Messina saw a luminous circle at an altitude appearing to be approximately two thousand meters. For about ten minutes, the object dropped rapidly toward the sea and then went back up to its highest altitude. The entire movement was repeated three times and ended when the light disappeared at high speed in a southwest direction toward Etna (Mount Etna).
