Sighting Description: Numerous persons saw, at approximately four miles from the mouth of the River Arno, a small two-seater airplane of unknown nationality fly over the sea and go down and sink after having lost its speed. After useless searches, it seemed that the airplane was of French nationality and came from Ventimiglia. Some laborers, who assisted with the disaster, reported absolutely that after the impact with the water, the airplane had floated for approximately twenty minutes before sinking completely.
