Sighting Description: Mr. Giovanni Santangelo while driving his car down a street, accompanied by a lady, saw a series of lights moving in the sky. They stopped the car and went to the beach to see the lights and try to understand what was going on. At first they thought the lights were from a discothèque, but the sky was clear and there were no clouds. At a certain point, two of the lights merged into one larger light while the third light continued to move alone. After about a minute, one of the lights detached itself from the group and fell toward the sea in a diagonal trajectory and then fell into the sea. The sea lit up for a radius of about one hundred meters, as though the light was coming from below the surface. This situation continued for about two minutes, after which the light intensity started to diminish. The other two lights in the sky were stationary and the witness described the situation as though the lights were observing what was happening in the sea. As soon as the light in the ocean disappeared, the two lights in the sky sped away towards a higher altitude at a very high rate of speed.
