Sighting Description: La signora Luisa Federico osservò un oggetto luminoso cadere in mare a circa un miglio di distanza dai faraglioni. Una fonte dell’epoca precisò che l’oggetto era attaccato ad un paracadute ed immediatamente scattarono le operazioni di recupero, in quanto si riteneva che potesse trattarsi di un satellite sovietico in difficoltà. Non venne però trovato nulla.   

Sighting Description: Mrs. Louisa Federica noticed a shining object falling into the sea at a distance of about one mile from the cliffs.  An information source at that time stated that this object was attached to a parachute and immediately a recovery operation was started, since it was thought that it was a Russian satellite in difficulty. Nothing was found.
