PRES DE VITTORIA (Catània)
Sighting Description: M. Matteo Dl MARTINO (46 ans), fermier, et
son épouse, virent une lueur très intense sur la mer, à environ 3 miles de la
côte. Avec des jumelles, M. Dl MARTINO vit un objet rouge très brillant
semblable à un « bateau » ( ?), qui s'élevait de la mer.
L'objet avait 2 grandes antennes à chacune de ses extrémités. Environ 45
minutes plus tard, la lueur commença à faiblir en intensité et les antennes
s'inclinèrent jusqu'à atteindre une position horizontale. Puis, l'objet
descendit vers la mer et disparut de la vue du témoin. Pendant que le phénomène se déroulait, il
pleuvait.

Sighting Description: Mr. Matteo DI MARTINO
(46 years old), a farmer, and his wife, saw a very intense glow on the sea,
approximately 3 miles from the coast.
With binoculars, Mr. DI MARTINO saw a very bright red object similar
to a «boat» (?), which
rose up from the sea. The object had 2 big antennas on each one of its
ends. About 45 minutes later, the glow
began to weaken in intensity and the antennas inclined until they reached a
horizontal position. Then, the object descended
toward the sea and disappeared from the witness's view. While this phenomenon took place, it was
raining.
