Sighting Description: A number of witnesses, independently of each other, saw an object described as being like a plane exploding in the air and plunging into the sea. After the explosion the object left a trail of black smoke. A fisherman added that he had seen a parachute with a man hanging in it. As expected the search, carried out with naval resources and two helicopters, one belonging to the police and the other to the Military Marines, was fruitless.
