Sighting Description: A witness declared that he/she had observed a plane, at an altitude of about three thousand meters. The plane broke and crashed in a spiral motion, and then burned. Later the object was seen to enter rapidly into the sea a few kilometers from the coast. The same scene was described by two women, a municipal policeman, and three additional witnesses. They all declared that they had seen a long white line first and then a big glare in the sky. The search operations, undertaken with a helicopter of the Customs Office, did not give a positive result.
