THE UNIVERSAL ONE

The Lawyer Dr. Huge Sierra Yépez Affirms:

A SHIP THAT FLEW ALMOST VERTICALLY EMERGED FROM THE SEA IN FRONT OF ARRECIFE

The lawyer says that he was fishing in his boat "Nena II" when he witnessed the strange phenomenon.

LA GUAIRA, August 19. — (INNAC).— "Many times I have wondered whether to tell it or to keep quiet, but I believe that now I can declare what I-have seen because it is too important to keep it as a secret. I have seen a flying saucer emerge from the sea some 16 miles north of Arrecife on the 4th of August and fly vertically toward the sky." This is the declaration given this afternoon by Dr. Hugo Sierra Yepez when he commented on a series of phenomena that occurs on the coast.

--"That morning I was fishing 16 miles to the north of Arrecife in my boat "Nena II" and I was completely disinterested in anything that was not fish," he declared to the newsman.

Dr. Hugo Sierra Yepez says also that at that hour the sea was smooth and quiet, its surface being like that of a plate.

"Suddenly—he says—I felt a vibration of the boat that bothered me quite a bit. I thought that it was an earthquake, but in a few seconds the water of the sea began to boil in a well defined circle of some six meters in diameter. The vibration and the bubbling intensified. Then something like an extensive flattened globe, of a grayish-blue color, came to the surface and hovered, spouting water, at a height of one meter."

"The machine remained immobile and on its circumference, as if uniting both hemispheres, was a kind of rotating ring with triangular windows with a curved surface and of intense, pure, red and blue colors.

Dr. Sierra Yepez continues saying that after a few seconds of hovering over the surface of the sea the strange artifact started to move slowly to the east in an ascending curve for some three miles and then it shot toward outer space with a sudden velocity comparable to that of a bullet and it lost itself vertically in the sky as a vanishing luminous paint.

"That is all—says Dr. Sierra Yepez —and I did not tell it before because I did not want to spread alarm after the earthquake."
