Sighting Description: Two witnesses, Carmine Arcucci and Giovangiuseppe Lenci, while on the beach to observe fireworks, saw, at about fifty meters from the coast at the waterline, a bright object shaped like a plate surmounted by a dome which seemed to have emerged from the water. The object was moving at no more than three meters from the ground, and its flying axis was tilted 30 degrees compared to the horizon. The two scared witnesses entered in the car to run away, but none of the lights was functioning. They remained still and scared to observe the object, whose dome-shaped top was emitting an intense blinding white light. The bottom part appeared to be metallic and shining. In addition there was a rotating red light at the base of the dome, which was giving the optical effect of a shining stripe. The object emitted a rhythmic noise, similar to the one made by a small boat, which was heard throughout the sighting. In about three minutes the object traveled the distance separating it from the car, and when it was above it the witnesses were able to estimate the dimensions between eight-ten meters. After stopping above the car for a few seconds the noise and the brightness faded, obviously because the object ascended vertically until it disappeared; the weather conditions were excellent and the sky was starry. The following day, Mr. Arcucci who had black hair, had a slight albinism due to the scare.
