Two truck
drivers, separately, about twenty-five miles east of Port Angeles,
Washington, on the ninth of
March, 1960, informed police that they had watched a large flaming object "half the
size of a barrel" going down in the Strait of Juan de Fuca. The
fiery object, thought to be a plane, was not found, and no planes were
reported missing or down in or near the area.
