Sighting Description: Two fishermen who were on a scooter observed a small plane plunge towards the sea from behind mount Core. When the plane reached the center of a particular stretch of the sea, the two witnesses observed a column of smoke and high jets of water. The searches undertaken by helicopters, airplanes and ships did not give any results. The official explanation was that it was a bomb used by illegal fishermen, and that the witnesses had seen a plane fly low first and later the jets caused by the bomb.

Note: There are many cases of “aircraft” crashing into the sea. It sounds at first like an understandable event – however after the investigation, the results are often that there were no aircraft scheduled in the area and the lack of debris makes us wonder what it was that crashed. In this particular case there was no mention of dead fish on the water by the rescue team, as the official explanation would have us think, and the smoke seen by the witnesses could have been steam from the hot field surrounding the “UFO”. -CF-
