Ivan Petrovszki had gone to a local well to fetch some water as his wife waited for him at home which was located nearby. Around the same time, a local priest had stepped out of the parsonage when he noticed a huge beam of light that appeared to be illuminating the entire village from an unknown point above. Looking around for the light source, he noticed a swirling luminous sphere or mass hovering above the well where Petrovszki had gone to get the water. The hovering light suddenly emitted a very bright flash of light and then shot away and disappeared into the starry sky. Petrovskzi’s wife ran screaming towards the well looking for her husband but he was nowhere to be found. The next day the local police investigated the events and reportedly finding [sic-found] a dark circle of about 6 meters in diameter which had melted the snow. They could not find any tracks or remains of Ivan Petrovszki.
