Remarkable Phenomenon at Sea.

New York, Feb. 15.— Captain Niemann of the steamer Prhinz Maurits[,] which arrived from Paramaribe [sic – Paramaribo] today, says he witnessed a remarkable phenomenon February 13 in lat. 36 30 and long. 74. The vessel ran into a vapor, ascending from the sea and forming a fog. "The water seemed to be boiling," said the captain. "The clouds changed rapidly and in the distance we could see a great many waterspouts. I have no explanation for it."
