Sighting Description: While fishing, Mr. Dante Stoppa, a twenty-three year old fisherman, saw an object shaped like a big meatball, almost translucent1 and about three meters wide. It descended at great speed. It skimmed the surface of the water, nosed-up, and sank, raising a column of water and making a noise like that of a hot iron resting on a damp cloth. The water bubbled for several minutes and gave off a dense cloud of steam. Some farmers who were about a kilometer away from the site of the impact confirmed that they had seen the cloud of steam.

Note 1: Although not mentioned in the text, UFOCAT has the time of the sighting as 0800 and the reference to the craft appearing to be translucent might be due to the field still partially glowing in the early dawn. –CF-
