Januar 1994, Neuruppin:

September 2006).

January 1994, Neuruppin:

In January 1994, ball-lightning was observed several times in Neuruppin close to Berlin. A witness "was in the car driving long the lake levee towards the inner city of Neuruppiner, when he saw a strong white ball of light in the sky. The ball of light flew over the car and to the right of the levee and probably went into Lake Ruppin. ... Due to fright, the driver stopped the car and got out. He touched the roof of his car with his hand and discovered that the roof was warmer than it could be expected to be.” (Donald Bäcker, at that time head of the weather station Neuruppin, quoted in the CENAP News, 9 September 2006).
