15.Juni 1987, Dahme, Ostsee¹.          

„Minensuchboote der Bundeswehr und Seenot-Rettungskreuzer fahnden nach einem ‚Geisterflugzeug‘, das nach Zeugenaussagen fünf Kilometer östlich von Dahme in die Ostsee gestürzt und spurlos verschwunden ist. Aber weder in der Bundesrepublik noch im übrigen Europa werden bis heute ein Flugzeug oder ein Pilot vermißt. Die Behörden glaubten an ein Hirngespinst der Zeugen.“ Mit der Begründung, es habe sich um eine optische Täuschung gehandelt, stellten die Behörden die Ermittlungen ein.

Dann aber entdeckten Anfang August 1987 Mitglieder des Segelclubs Albatros an der Absturzstelle „Kopf und Schulter eines ... männlichen ... Toten“. Ob der Leichenfund mit dem wahrgenommenen Flugzeugabsturz zusammenhing (und ob eine Leiche zwei Wochen an der gleichen Stelle schwimmt) weiß ich nicht; evtl. spätere Ermittlungsergebnisse sind mir nicht bekannt (Sonntag Aktuell, 9. August 1987, S. 28).

15. June 1987, Dahme, Baltic Sea¹     

"A minesweeper and a coastguard cruiser searched for a ‘ghost airplane', that fell, according to witness testimony, about five kilometers east of Dahme into the Baltic Sea and disappeared without a trace. But neither in the Federal Republic of Germany nor in the remaining parts of Europe were there reports of someone missing an airplane or a pilot. The authorities believed that it was a “fantasy of the witnesses." With the reasoning that it was an optical illusion, the authorities have called off the investigation.

However, members of the sail-club albatross discovered in the beginning of August 1987 at the crash-position the “head and shoulder of a... male... dead person". Whether the corpse-finding had to do with the perceived plane crash and (whether a corpse can float two weeks at the same position), I don't know; further investigation-results are not known to me (Sonntag Aktuell, 9 August 1987, Page. 28).
